Ph.D. (Philosophy) - Baylor University; MA (Philosophy) - Baylor University; ThM - Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary; MDiv - Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary; BA - Bethel College (IN).
Event Description: Nietzsche is typically seen as a nihilist who wants to reject the idea of God and any meaning in life, rejecting virtues like justice. In his talk, Dr. Coblentz will argue that Nietzsche is actually presenting us a way of discovering meaning and justice, expressing the kind of justice that Plato puts forth in the Republic, justice that serves as a pleasure in itself. After his talk, there will be a Q&A time with Dr. Coblentz.
